Membership, Billing, and Cancellations

New Membership Applications

  1. Once you apply for a Side Hustle in the City membership, please allow up to two weeks for our team to review your application and notify you about our membership decision using the contact information you provide in the application. If you do not receive a membership decision or have a question about the decision that you received, please feel free to send us a message using the contact information below. 

By filling out the application on the Site, you acknowledge and agree that the information input into the application may be included in a public profile for you. You agree not to include any links to social profiles you would not want to be visible to the public. You hereby give your consent for the collection, use, storage, and display of your personal information entered into the application along with your other profile information.


New Membership and Billing

If your application for membership is officially accepted, you will be notified by email about your payment plan. Once this process is completed, including confirmation of payment completion, please allow two weeks for us to process all details of your membership, including your appearance in the Side Hustle in the City membership directory. 


Payments enable future membership, as membership is on a “pay-before-use” basis. If you do not fulfill an invoice by the date and time due, we have the right to cancel your membership at any time. Payments for membership are processed and secured by a third-party payment processor. By inputting and submitting your payment information, you represent and warrant that you (I) have all rights to make payments to use through that account and (ii) you agree to the terms and conditions presented by the third-party processor.


Membership Cancellations and Refunds

Membership is based on an annual commitment from your start date. Your start date is the day you submit payment for membership.  You agree that your membership fee payment is final and nonrefundable. Your membership will automatically renew each year with a charge of the then-current membership fee to your credit card on file unless you inform us otherwise prior to the end of your current subscription term by emailing

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from (the “Site”). 


Personal Information We Collect 

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through Side Hustle in the City, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, payment information, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”. 


When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information. 


How Do We Use Your Personal Information? 

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any purchases placed through Side Hustle in the City (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this information to: 

  • Communicate with you; 
  • Screen for potential risk or fraud; 
  • Include information on our site as appropriate, and 
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. 

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). 


Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

As described above, we may use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States. 


Data Retention 

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. 



We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
